MICF names Legal Counsel and Accountant
The
Marco Island Community Foundation Board of Trustees has selected
legal counsel and an accountant to provide services and represent
the Foundation.
Attorney William G. Morris, a well known and distinguished
Marco lawyer, has agreed to represent the Marco Island Community
Foundation in its initial years of operation. Attorney Morris received
his JD with honors from the University of Florida after earning
his Bachelors degree from the University of Virginia. He is a member
of the bar in Florida as well as Virginia, the District of Columbia,
various Federal Courts and the United States Supreme Court. He has
practiced full time in Marco and Naples for the past 23 years.
Attorney Morris was selected by MICF in recognition of his long
list of community involvements and a strong background in Estate
Planning and Administration and Probate Law as well as Business
and Commercial Law background. He is pleased to be part of a community
foundation being established on Marco Island and has agreed to offer
his services to the newly formed MICF. We are delighted to welcome
Attorney Bill Morris to the Marco Island Community Foundation family.
MICF Board of Trustees has also selected David S. Wilson
to provide start up Accounting services for the new Foundation.
Mr. Wilson has a BS degree in Mathematics at Illinois State University
and is completing a Masters in Accounting and Financial Management.
Mr. Wilson has completed 13 years with three large corporations.
He has had responsibilities for income tax preparation and audits
and extensive work with limited partnerships, S corporations and
C and S corporations. He has expressed a strong interest in non
profit accounting and involvement.
MICF selected Mr. Wilson as he also possesses strong interpersonal
skills and is interested in a long term commitment to non profit
accounting. We are delighted to have Mr. Wilson offer his services
to MICF in its early years.
